This one-of-a-kind basket looks like it was originally made to be used as a purse. It has a hinge and is cloth lined and belonged to my great-aunt who purchased it while traveling in the US in the 1960s.
Approx. 6 high, nearly 6.5 wide and 4 deep, the handmade wooden basket has what appear to be old magazine or newspaper clippings throughout the top and sides. A very Americana look with images from a little boy and girl, American flag and toy images.
In excellent condition given age.
