Rare, Antique 1900's SWEET MIST Tobacco Store container that originally held 48 packages of chewing tobacco. The dispenser is 11" high, 8 1/4" wide and 6 1/2" deep. It has a metal top and bottom, it is missing its hinged lid and the cardboard is a bit scuffed up (see pictures) but its over 100 years old so its looking good for its age. :p
The Sweet Mist Chewing Tobacco was made by the Scotten Dillon Company in Detroit, Michigan. The picture on the front shows three young children playing in a water fountain splashing each other. Because the tin is made partualy of cardboard most of these old store dispensers haven't survived to today.
This would be a lovely addition to someone's collection and just as a cool piece of history to own.
