Vintage brass powder compact or a mini folding picture frame. It features a hinged design with a mirror on one side and a blank, polished surface on the other, which would typically hold loose or pressed powder, often covered by a sifter and made of gold-tone brass.
It is a bifold, envelope, rectangular case with rounded corners, featuring a mirror on the interior left and a powder well (or photo slot) on the interior right.
Era: Similar compacts were mass-produced from the 1920s through the 1970s, with the Art Deco era (1920s-1930s) and Mid-Century (1940s-1960s) being notable periods for design variations.
Many compacts from the mid-century era were mass-produced and unmarked.
Design on front of case can be shined up some
