Vintage Disney PLUTO Coin Bank. Circa 1970’s. Very RARE and hard to find collectible.
Tan colored Pluto is seated with mouth open, has a pink tongue and eyes looking up. Pluto is wearing his iconic red collar, with black ears, tail and nose. Measures 8 1/2” tall and approximately 4” wide at the base. Coin slot is located on the back of his head and measures 1 1/2” long.
“Walt Disney Prod.” is imprinted on the side of the right foot. “Derochos Reservado” ( translated: Rights Reserved ), imprinted on one side of the left foot. Made in Mexico circa 1970’s. Imprinted on the bottom is “Vinilos Romay S.A”; a Mexican company known for making coin banks in the 1970’s. In very good condition structurally; no cracks or chips. Body is intact. Rubber stopper on the bottom is missing. The finish is worn in spots so it has a smooth, matte finish with glossy, darker areas where the finish is still present. Pluto is a very iconic character Disney character looking for his new home.
