Your live carnivorous plant is in the highest quality soil there is for Venus Flytraps, New Zealand Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss. The 3 inch, Black plastic pot with drain holes is reusable. Do not water with tap, bottled or spring water. Only use distilled or rain water. Only repot into plastic or nutrient free pots.

Your Venus Flytrap does not need live carnivorous plant food to grow. Put it outside, come back in a little bit and see which traps are closed, hold it up to the light and see what it ate.
