The young lovers are having an interlude of teasing and flirting on a lovely spring day.
Spice has picked a small flower for Sugar. In a moment he may decide to write their initials on the honeysuckle vine. It, like the coin with the vine on it (Israeli), is a symbol of their two lives woven together, yet remaining independent of each other. On the base all the acorns are couples. There is a buckeye for good luck and an old chestnut, symbolic of their love which will be warm and long lasting.
