Offered here is this 1928 hard cover first edition of The Whisper Of A Name, Marie Le Franc, translated by George & Hilda Shively. The book was published by the Bobbs-Merrill Company. The book has a book plate on the inside front cover, as well as a synopsis glued onto the next page just inside the front cover. It was apparently originally a rental from The May Company. The book is worn at the corners and edges, but does come with the dust jacket; that has some pieces missing. The binding is holding well, however, and all 244 pages are intact and in good condition, although they are beginning to yellow with age. This is a genuinely nice first edition book that would be a nice addition to any antique book collection…
