Two CD set. Robert Earl Keen is an American singer-songwriter born in Houston Texas in January 1956. Starting with 1984's No Kinda Dancer, he has recorded 18 full-length albums, while his songs have been covered by several country music artists including Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith, and the Dixie Chicks. Both albums were major label releases with Walking Distance released in 1998 and Picnic the previous year. They followed what to date has been his biggest selling album, No. 2 Live Dinner which was released in 1996. Keen's albums and live performances span many different styles, from folk, country, and bluegrass to rock but he is most commonly associated with the Americana genre. He has toured extensively throughout his career, and was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012 along with Lyle Lovett and the late Townes Van Zandt.
