American Crayon was one of only a small number of companies that were allowed to use the word “American” on their products and had a prominent “A” logo on nearly all of their crayon products from 1902 up until 1918 when they decided to adopt a new symbol for their company and chose the Old Faithful symbol.
I admit I did use a few pieces it really is great chalk! holds about 155 pieces. I put like new because it is minus the chalk I used, this box is in excellent condition and is around 100 years old! crazy! Did research and couldn't find another even close to this condition and this amount of chalk. A few pieces in that corner may be cracked If you do take one out, have fun putting it back in there they are packed tight!
This wood box has dovetailed corners and measures about 5.625"L x 4.375"W x 3.75"H
