I tested it with a VHS tape and it spit the tape back out almost immediately and unwound a bit of it. I did not try the DVD side at all. I figured this may be better for someone that has electronic repair knowledge (not me!) Has been gently cleaned but has some wear/staining from previous owner. Only includes power cable.
