Korean actor Park Bo-gum is promoting the appeal of men's Hanbok to the world. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation unveiled Park Bo-gum's Hanbok, produced for the "2025 Hanbok Wave" project, on October 2nd.
"Hanbok Wave" is a project that introduces Hanbok, which combines tradition and modern sensibilities, to the world stage by collaborating with outstanding Hanbok designers and Korean Wave artists. Previously, Kim Yuna, a former figure skater, served as the model in 2022, singer and actress Suzy in 2023, and actress Kim Tae-ri in 2024. This year, for the first time, the focus is on men's Hanbok, and Park Bo-gum was chosen as the sole model.
Park Bo-gum collaborated with four Korean designers selected through public recruitment from the planning stage, creating works that combine traditional beauty and modern sensibilities.
