Nettie Rosenstein Gold Chain Curb Link Necklace with pendant depicting St George. Each side of the chain is approximately 13 inches long. Pendant is approx. 2.25 inches wide and 2.75 inches long including the dangle on the bottom. Curbed chain has textured links with glossy flat edges. Hook closure.
The beautifully carved pendant’s motif is of Saint George, a legendary Roman soldier and martyr, famous for the myth of slaying a dragon to save a princess, symbolizing courage, chivalry, and the triumph of good over evil, and serving as the patron saint of England and many other places. Signed by the renowned designer with signature on back.
Pendant is in very good pre-owned condition. The medallion in the middle is near-pristine. The pendant shows some wear and tear on the outside edges (See pictures). The face of the pendant is in remarkable condition considering it is at least 70 years old. There are signs of light wear and tear. The chain is is excellent vintage condition.
