This is a classic and sophisticated pair of Joseph LaRose, 1960's vintage, leather reptail embossed dark and light teal shoes pumps. The pair is new old stock and has never been worn.
Joseph LaRose was a Sicilian born shoe designer who opened his first shop in 1949, was in business for 50 years, until 1999, when he died. He lived and worked in Jacksonville, Florida and was considered to be Jacksonville's Legendary Shoe Guru. He created one-of-a-kind shoes sought after by thousands, including wealthy Jacksonville women and celebrities including Jackie Kennedy, Jane Mansfield, and Joan Crawford. His legacy lives on today in shoe collector's closets, with designers looking for inspiration, and his works are also represented in museums around the world.
