This book was created to experience James Turrell's "House of Light," produced for the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale.

"It is neither an archive collecting completed photographs nor an artist book that fully presents the artist's philosophy.

Peeking through a horizontally elongated window cut into the pure white cover is a deep crimson color. The main body is accordion-folded, creating the illusion of endlessly traversing a corridor without interruption.

Photographs taken at "House of Light" and James Turrell's light works are arranged alternately, and text quoted from "In Praise of Shadows" is written in bilingual Japanese and English. The vertical Japanese text, forming a mass, is like a window that captures light, while the slender horizontal English text is like a ray of light that refracts as it progresses."

Due to its elaborate and delicate construction, there is some distortion ("photo 4") and scuffing. Generally, this does not affect viewing.
