This is an Ibanez 8-string guitar.
It was originally equipped with passive pickups, which have been converted to active.
The pickups are EMG 808s for both the neck and bridge.
The gold EMG logo has been partially touched up, though it's not easily noticeable.
The electrical circuit is hand-soldered with Kester 44, not using the EMG solderless kit (the switch and jack are reused, the pots are Alpha A25k, and the capacitor is an unknown 104).
The original finish is not a thick poly layer, but rather a stain, so there are minor scratches and dents (see photos).
The neck is almost straight.
The frets show some wear, but are in a condition that doesn't affect playability and doesn't require leveling.
