This is a unique & beautiful pendant style gold plated cameo on a 30" Chain. She has been loved in the past as evidenced by the Light plating removal on her hair where clearly she has been gently touched by the previous owner. The gold color is a nice natural antique gold. This is a well-made and heavy duty cameo, you can see the quality of the craftsmanship in the bail, and generally throughout the piece. The metal is not what you may describe as "thin or tinny". I cannot find any marks on her, and have not been able to connect her with any specific makers.
In researching gold style cameos in general, it would appear that they became popular during the Art Nouveau time period. She may or may not date to that time period. The woman is dressed in Georgian style clothing (1800), and looking to the left.
While I do believe her to be gold-plated, she is not gold or silver complete as she does stick to a rare earth magnet.
