I bought this a little over 10 years ago and used it a few times, but I switched to a smartphone soon after, so I stopped using it. I've kept it on a closet shelf, uncovered and draped with cloth. It has a little dust on it, but it's mostly clean since I haven't used it much.
I've confirmed that it works and can charge, so I think it's okay, but there's a possibility of failure due to aging.
