CONTAX 137MA Quartz Body

This is a Contax film camera released in 1982. It is an improved version of the 137MD Quartz, which was released earlier. It features a manual (shutter dial) and a winder that advances the film at 3 frames per second, up from 2 frames per second.

This is an aperture-priority and manual camera with a built-in winder, and the film rewind is manual.
I purchased this beautiful camera at a used camera market about 10 years ago. Since I didn't use it often, it's in great condition with little sign of use.
The exterior and light seals are in good condition. There is also no mirror misalignment.

I am selling it now to organize my belongings.
The viewfinder and mirror are free of mold and fogging. The shutter, exposure, film advance, rewind, self-timer, and viewfinder LED all function well. Photos 17 and 18 are scans of film taken with this camera using a 28-85mm lens as a sample.

The viewfinder on this camera is bright, and I personally found it easier to see and focus than the 167MT and RTSIII, which were released later, because of its higher magnification.

Accessories include a body cap, eye cap, and instruction manual.
This is a body-only sale, so a separate lens (Contax/Yashica mount) is required.
