The G-3A anti-G suit, developed during World War II. When flying fighter planes, the intense G-forces affected blood flow, and a lack of oxygen in the brain could cause pilots to lose consciousness. To prevent blood from flowing to the extremities, a suit was developed to compress the lower body with cords. This bag is based on that suit. Originally made of herringbone twill fabric, this is a Buzz Rickson's original using frogskin camouflage fabric. The sewing features time-consuming piping, and the zipper is a wartime TALON zipper.
