Vereeniging van THEE- IMPORTEURS is Dutch, meaning “Association of TEA IMPORTERS”
The Association of Tea Importers originated from the Permanent Committee of Importers and was founded in 1916. The aim of the association was to promote the interests of importers of Java and Sumatra tea intended for public sale in the Netherlands.
It merged to a new organization called
“Koninklijke Nederlandse Vereniging voor Koffie en Thee (KNVKT)”, Royal Dutch Association for Coffee and Tea, in 2010.
