The 20th Century Fox Movie starred Monty Woolley, June Haver, and Dick Haymes. It was produced by the popular Damon Runyon and directed by Gregory Ratoff. It was photographed in Technicolor, even though this was only 1944.
The story was written by Damon Runyon (1880 - 1946), who was known for his stories and iconic characters set in New York. Although he was also a newspaper reporter, he is best known for his short stories celebrating the New York world of Broadway that grew out of the Prohibition Era. Another of his more famous movies is, "Guys and Dolls," based on two of his stories.
This sheet music is still crisp and clean and has a front cover that gleams of gold.
