I found this beautiful US Engineer Officers button in a camp off of Spotswood Furnace Rd near the Chancellorsville Battlefield. It retains most of its original gold gilt. The shank is intact, no pushes or cracks and has the Horstmann Allen backmark. A really nice excavated button. I appreciate everyone checking it out.
