Vintage Arnart Imports Courting Couple elongated oval relish/celery dish, made in the 1950's. This is a reproduction piece of Royal Porcelain (no Royal Vienna recorded).
The dish pictures images of French artist Jean Honore Fragonard's "Love Story" series of paintings, the stages of a courting couple. It has a light pink center medallion, edged by gold moriage. Surrounding the moriage, around the edge of the plate are the images of a Victorian couple as they progress through their courtship.
The dish has a short pedestal base and measures 10 inches long and is 4 inches at its widest point.
The rim of the dish is edged in gold. The bottom is marked with the Arnart Import beehive logo. Excellent vintage condition as shown.
