This is an antique Wedgwood olive green jasperware pitcher or jug. Impressed on the bottom is the mark reading, “Wedgwood”, and “England”, The simple word “England,” rather than “Made in England” confirms manufacture between 1891 and 1908.

Size: 5-1/4" high; 4-1/2" diameter around the middle; 6" long from spout to handle. HAS A CHIP ON THE SPOUT SEE PIC. NO OTHER DAMAGE.

It is made of iconic jasperware, a type of fine-grained, unglazed stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the late 18th century.

The pitcher features white bas-relief designs depicting classical motifs, including a figure with a lyre, likely Apollo or a muse.

It often features a "Muses Trophy Emblem" design around the body and a grapevine border around the rim.

This specific olive green color is considered a rare colorway for Wedgwood jasperware
