A finely cast Victorian-style hand mirror of oval form, decorated in deep relief with scrolling foliate ornament and floral cartouches, the handle and reverse worked throughout in a unified decorative scheme. The handle terminates in a stylized leaf and scroll finial, lending balance and visual weight to the piece.
The mirror appears to be cast metal now displaying an attractive, darkened patina with lighter highlights on the raised details, consistent with age and handling. The mirror plate is securely set within the frame and remains intact and reflective, showing minor signs of age. See pictures for condition and dimensions.
