Overview: Up for sale is an incredible 1946 oil painting on board depicting a forested lake and mountain scene. It is signed "S. E. Abbott" (possibly "S. C.") and dated '46 at lower right. Framed in a simple period wood frame. I haven't found any matching artists by this name, but the piece is stunning, and clearly painted by a talented artist. I have a few other paintings by this artist which I will be listing in the next week or so.
Condition: Painting is in fair to good condition. There are a number of prominent scratches at upper center, center and right center. Frame shows minor wear.
Measurements: Painting measures approximately 11.75 inches wide x 9 inches high. Frame measures approximately 13 inches wide x 10 inches high.
