This is a 1997 copyright licensed "Planet of the Apes" Cowichan sweater, officially licensed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.
"Planet of the Apes" is the root of "A BATHING APE," which swept through the Ura-Harajuku culture in the 90s. This is a collector's piece that was produced in extremely small quantities during the boom and is now extremely rare.

■ Design & Material
• Jacquard knit: A huge ape graphic is placed on the back. It has an overwhelming presence that sets it apart from current printed items.
• 100% Wool: Made with luxurious, thick, and warm natural wool.
• Details: Features a voluminous shawl collar and a heavy knit characteristic of vintage items.

■ Condition
There is some slight pilling typical of vintage wool, but there are no noticeable stains or fatal moth-eaten holes, and it is in surprisingly good condition for an item from about 30 years ago.
Currently, vintage movie-related items are rising in price worldwide, and especially official licensed Cowichan knits are a "special" item that is rarely seen in the market.

This is a piece with excellent asset value, so I would be happy to pass it on to someone who will cherish it.
