This is a bag of 50 maple tree taps that are perfect for small operations or backyard sugarmakers! (5/16" diameter tap).
These taps have been used for one season. Our farm is working towards our Certified Organic certification which requires us to use new taps every year, so these are useless to us! Plastic taps can be sterilized and used year after year!
These taps have been boiled for 15 - 20 minutes and then washed with soap and dried. At this discounted price (new taps these days almost run $1 a piece!) these are perfect for backyard sugarmakers with a small number of trees or even larger farms that don't have any restrictions on tap re-use!
DISCLAIMER: Taps have been inspected but there is a small chance that you may receive one with a minor defect. Most likely, it was deemed to be still functional. Keep in mind, these are USED and are not perfect!
