This used to open with a small pin showing the most popular photigraph from 1865 Lewis Carroll's " Alice's in Wonderland ". The one of 3? of them at a table...my memory is failing me now
Anyhow, when first putting my estate on apps, i posted into antique groups and was told to have it appraised. I did not.
These people told me the key and dangling red piece was most likely an addition with a later date than the original locket.
I know I've put the pin into a bag and stored it. I will post when I find. But price will rise.
Im literally giving away many collectibles and precious fine items as I've no use space or time for them anymore.
