1998 Gibson Historic Collection Catalog with Bonus

A very valuable 1998 Gibson Historic Collection catalog.
A color chart is also included.
It has been stored out of direct sunlight, so it is in near-mint condition with no yellowing.

As a bonus, a 2000 Japanese edition catalog is included (also rare nowadays).

The cover's paper quality has a luxurious feel, as if reproducing the time, and the embossed mark is also beautiful.
The black and white interior was met with mixed reactions, but if it was intended to evoke the era, it's quite elaborate. A color chart is included separately, possibly because models like the Firebird were also featured.

Gibson made the most significant specification changes in Historic history in 1999, but the fact that they produced such a substantial catalog a year earlier suggests it was a prelude to the Les Paul Standard reissue project for the NAMM show of the same year.
